The Irish property market once again proved exceptionally resilient in 2021 despite the ongoing and
seemingly relentless challenges COVID-19 continued to present. As we enter our third year of living
through a pandemic, it is difficult not to feel somewhat disheartened that we are not as advanced in
our fight against this virus as we might have thought we would be this time last year. If 2020 was a year
of crisis in dealing with the sudden onset of this pandemic, 2021 offered more hope that we would
emerge the other side of this once in a lifetime event. Despite herculean efforts worldwide to bring
this virus under control, it continues to evade us and in doing so impacts each one of us daily.
