Leading Belfast flour miller, Neill\u2019s Flour, has today announced that it is making a significant investment and expanding its operations by taking a large 16,000 sq ft unit in Titanic Quarter\u2019s Channel Commercial Park.<\/p>\n
The move comes as demand for its products increases due to a rise in the popularity of home baking.<\/p>\n
Located five minutes from George Best Belfast City Airport and with direct access to the region\u2019s two main motorways, Titanic Quarter attracts a diverse range of businesses keen to base and expand their operations in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
ABF Grain Products Limited, which trades as Neill\u2019s Flour, is\u00a0a well-known producer of traditional flours and mixes for baking. The company has been milling in College Place North since 1867. In 2017 Neill\u2019s Flour celebrated its 150th<\/sup>\u00a0year supplying quality flour products from the same site in the heart of Belfast.<\/p>\n The company is now looking ahead and the new warehouse facility is just the beginning of several major plans for the future.<\/p>\n The unit, which will allow the company to store finished flour products, comprises a portal frame warehouse offering 6m eaves height with two-storey offices and a kitchen area. It benefits from onsite car parking and a concrete surfaced shared circulation area.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Karl McCrum, sales and marketing manager at Neill\u2019s Flour [ABF Grain Products Limited], commented:<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we started looking for extra storage space our priority was to make sure that we were as close to our city centre operations as we could be. Belfast city centre has been home to us since 1867 and we continue to produce many of our products here. Having a new warehouse nearby was essential.
