Lisney has been instructed to sell land at two locations in Ballymena. The new instructions include two dwellings at Cushendall Road, which may be purchased separately as single dwellings or together as a development site, and 153 acres of agricultural land and farm buildings at Liminary Road.

The Cushendall Road sites comprise 0.73 acres, and planning permission has previously been granted for the construction of 20 apartments on the land.

Lynn Taylor, Surveyor at Lisney, commented:

“The Cushendall Road assets offer an exciting opportunity for developers seeking to maximise their investment.

“Planning approval was given in 2009 for the building of 20 apartments and maisonettes on the site, although no works were commenced.

“The existing houses are each substantial, detached homes which require only light refurbishment, therefore also posing attractive investment opportunities as family homes in a sought-after area of the town.”

The agricultural lands at Liminary Road, around 2.9 miles from the town centre, are split in 39 fields of varying sizes, with additional plots where farm buildings and cottages are located.

Lisney’s Olivia Martin commented:

“Located just outside Ballymena town centre, these farm lands extend to 153 acres, 1.85 acres of which features built plots and planted areas, the land was previously used for grazing.

“The fields themselves are well proportioned and are suitably bounded by a mixture of hedgerow, mature trees, streams, stone walls and post and wire fencing. The site also includes a range of farm buildings and three dilapidated cottages.”
