A development site in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, has gone on the market. Mid Ulster District Council said it is releasing the four-acre Ann Street site, adding that it represented a \u201cmajor development opportunity\u201d and a \u201cunique gateway\u201d as it links up with the main shopping area of Market Square and Scotch Street, via Irish Street.<\/p>\n
Councillor Trevor Wilson said: \u201cThe Ann Street site has been long regarded as Dungannon\u2019s flagship opportunity site and we would hope that future construction on the land will be a catalyst for further development activity in the area. The decision to dispose of the site by way of development brief is being driven by the need to ensure that a quality, urban regeneration scheme, that will return this vacant opportunity site to a viable and sustainable economic use, is delivered.\u201d<\/p>\n
