Edward Hanafin

Senior Director, Cork Commercial

Edward is a Director of Lisney and is based in our Cork office. He has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of the commercial property market throughout Munster. He is also an expert in a range of different disciplines including valuation and development appraisals, landlord and tenant advice, rent reviews, rating, compulsory purchase advice and acquisitions, sales and lettings.

Edward has worked on some of the highest-profile property deals in the south in recent years, including a large investment sale of a portfolio of five office buildings at Phase 2 Cork Airport Business Park. He provides strategic property advice and acts as a selling agent for various receivers in PWC, Ernst & Young and KPMG. Edward also provides ongoing valuation services for financial institutions, NAMA, corporates and private individuals and some of his key clients include Eircom, University College Cork, AIB, Bank of Ireland and KBC.

Regularly appointed as an arbitrator to determine rent review disputes, Edward is on the Panel of Arbitrators and Independent Experts at the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. He also has acted as a fixed charge receiver and this compliments his experience in receivership and insolvency.

Edward holds a BSc in Surveying and a diploma in Property Economics from Dublin Institute of Technology Bolton Street and is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
