Four Acre ‘Gateway’ Dungannon Site Goes On The Market
21st March 2017
A development site in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, has gone on the market. Mid Ulster District Council said it is releasing the four-acre Ann Street site, adding that it represented a “major development opportunity” and a “unique gateway” as it links up with the main shopping area of Market Square and Scotch Street, via Irish Street.
Councillor Trevor Wilson said: “The Ann Street site has been long regarded as Dungannon’s flagship opportunity site and we would hope that future construction on the land will be a catalyst for further development activity in the area. The decision to dispose of the site by way of development brief is being driven by the need to ensure that a quality, urban regeneration scheme, that will return this vacant opportunity site to a viable and sustainable economic use, is delivered.”

Lloyd Hannigan of selling agents Lisney said: “Proposals are being sought for a mixed use, ideally retail-led scheme. We envisage this will appeal to a wide range of developers, given that we have already dealt with a number of unsolicited expressions of interest prior to the commencement of marketing.”
