Lisney Belfast Office Manager Shortlisted For Top Honour
20th May 2016
Clair Dixon, Office manager at Lisney’s Belfast office is in the running for the Northern Ireland Office Manager of the Year Award and could be about to celebrate 20 years at the company by winning the accolade.
Whitehead-born Clair Dixon has been shortlisted in the Office Manager category of the Northern Ireland PA and Office Manager Awards, which are organised by Business First in association with Diamond Recruitment.
Clair had the honour of being personally nominated for the award by Declan Flynn, Managing Director of Lisney’s Belfast office, which specialises in office, retail, leisure and industrial property acquisition, disposal and investment.
Commenting on her shortlisting, Clair said: “I was delighted to hear that Declan had taken the time to nominate me, and it really is a huge honour to have been shortlisted for such a major award.
“This is my 20th anniversary with Lisney, which is a fantastic company to work for, and making this shortlist is a special way to mark my 20th year.
“I’m looking forward to attending the awards ceremony with my colleagues and will be so pleased if I’m successful. It’s hard to believe looking back that I’ve been working along side Declan and some of our other directors for two decades, so much has changed since I started but we’ve all experienced the ups and downs together.”
Declan commented: “Clair is the ‘go-to’ person in the office for so many issues – personal as well as professional – and, having worked with her for all of her 20 years, there’s no doubt Clair is one of Lisney’s most valuable employees.
“Her role can include anything from training staff, conducting interviews, balancing the budget and arranging business trips. Her job is so varied that it touches upon almost every aspect of the business and, therefore, helps determine the tone and culture of the firm.
“Clair proves time and time again that she is an integral part of our management team and her cross-departmental duties make her invaluable to the day-to-day operations of the company.
“Throughout her tenure as office manager Clair has never shied away from a difficult situation or been backward in coming forward when someone needs to stand up and be counted. In my opinion the breadth of responsibility that Clair effectively manages make her a more than worthy winner in this category and I wish her the very best of luck on the day.”
The Northern Ireland PA and Office Manager Awards ceremony takes place at the Cultra Manor on Wednesday, 25th May.
