24th October 2016
A major industrial estate in Larne comprising almost six acres has just come to market. Leading commercial property agents Lisney and O’Connor Kennedy Turtle (OKT) have been jointly instructed to sell the Drumahoe Industrial Estate in Millbrook. Spanning 5.75 acres and comprising four buildings totaling 62,885 sq ft, the site currently contains 12 independent units.
The property is located on the Drumahoe Road on the western side of Larne, within one mile of the town centre and the recently upgraded A8 road, allowing access to Belfast within 30 minutes.
With a large concrete yard / hard standing area, the site also boasts excellent on-site parking.
Andrew Gawley, Associate Director at Lisney, commented:
“This extensive industrial site in Larne has functioned as an established manufacturing and warehouse facility for many years and presents a fantastic opportunity for prospective occupiers.
“Its location is another strength, being in close proximity to the Port of Larne, one of the busiest ports in Northern Ireland, plus Belfast City Airport and Belfast International Airport both around 22 miles from the site.”
The majority of buildings within the site are of steel portal frame construction with profile cladding to the walls and roof, concrete flooring and a maximum eaves height of approximately 6.5m (21 feet).
The main headquarter unit comprises ground and first floor office accommodation, which is fitted out to include plastered and painted walls, carpet floors, fluorescent lighting and electric wall heaters.
Andrew continued:
“We anticipate that the site will garner substantial interest due to its obvious potential which will appeal to many different types of businesses.”
Mark Patterson, Head of Property Management at OKT, said:
“We are very pleased to be seeking buyers for this fantastic site and it is our expectation that the site will prove extremely popular both locally and nationally.”
