Units set to come to market as significant refurbishment gathers pace.
Commercial property agent and asset manager Lisney has appointed Fetherston Clements as the selling agent for apartments in the Obel property complex, which is currently undergoing a significant upgrade.
A limited number of high-end apartments in Ireland’s tallest building are set to go on sale upon completion of refurbishment works before Easter.
Significant enhancement works are being carried out to the internal finishes of the Belfast city centre apartments as well as to the lifts, lobbies and reception areas.
Will Miscampbell, Partner, Fetherston Clements Estate Agents, said:
“To be appointed as the selling agent for the Obel complex is a major endorsement of the work being carried out by Fetherston Clements throughout Greater Belfast and we are hugely excited to be involved with such a landmark project.
“The Obel is a truly iconic building which is now set to reach its full potential with the major refurbishment works fully gathering pace.
“The pending release of a limited number of high-end apartments on to the market will be one of the most exciting developments in the Belfast property market for some time and we are anticipating huge demand, particularly from young professionals.
“Leading local interior designers and landscape architects have been consulted on the internal configuration, finishes and external landscaping to ensure the units meet the high specifications, equalling that of any luxury apartment development across Europe.”
Formed in early 2011, Fetherston Clements has expanded rapidly with offices in south Belfast, east Belfast and Bangor. The company’s key services include residential sales, lettings and property management.
Located on Donegall Quay, the Obel is a 27-storey complex comprising of over 200 one, two and three-bedroom luxury apartments and duplex and penthouse suites.
It also has 52,462 sq. ft. of grade A office accommodation, which is home to international law firm Allen & Overy and the Mount Charles-operated eaterie, Fed and Watered.
Ciaran O’Kane, Director of Property Management at Lisney, commented:
“The appointment of Fetherston Clements is another very exciting development in the multi-million pounds Obel investment project.
“We have been engaging with a range of local suppliers and contractors and have full confidence that prospective purchasers will benefit from Fetherston Clements’ professional and approachable style.”
The Obel was first launched onto the market in 2005 when dozens of apartments were sold off-plan. Construction commenced in 2006 and was completed in 2011.
