Allingham Transport Network Expansion Provides Rental Opportunity In Cookstown
5th June 2017
Lisney has been instructed to let part of substantial high-specification Chill Warehouse facilities in Cookstown owned by local haulage company Allingham Transport.
The haulage company is a family-run business, now in its second generation, that was set up in Cookstown by residents John and Maureen Allingham in 1969. They were joined in the early 1990s by sons Thomas and Ian.
The company initially set out to provide a cross-channel groupage service between Ireland and Great Britain, but over the past 48 years the company has grown and expanded its portfolio of services.
While Allingham Transport will maintain a presence in Cookstown, this latest expansion will see the company take on several new sites across the province to increase its local offering and free up a portion of the high-specification facility at the Cookstown headquarter site.
Andrew Gawley, Associate Director at Lisney (Right), with Thomas Allingham, Managing Director of Allingham Transport.
Andrew Gawley of Lisney commented:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for an incoming company to take advantage of these high-specification premises and the future expansion plans of Allingham Transport will offer a tenant excellent warehouse space.”
The property offers up to 28,000 sq ft of chilled warehouse facilities on a fantastic prominent site with excellent access to the A29.
Thomas Allingham, Managing Director of Allingham Transport, commented:
“The warehousing at our Cookstown site will be ideal for a range of potential occupants.
“The secure, 3.35-acre site has served Allingham Transport well during the 48 years that Cookstown has been our primary base of operations and, as we enter a new phase of expansion, I’m confident that prospective tenants will share in the success that the location has brought us as a company.”
