Over 1,300 acres of forestry land for sale offering stable returns while promoting environmental sustainability.

Lisney has been instructed to oversee the sale of a substantial forestry portfolio in Ireland, spanning approximately 561 Ha (1,385 Acres). The portfolio is available for purchase by private treaty.

The portfolio consists of 27 distinct plots spread across the counties of Tipperary, Wicklow, Offaly, Laois, Wexford, Limerick, and Kilkenny. Tipperary accounts for 50% of the portfolio, Wicklow for 19%, and Offaly for 11%, with the remainder distributed across the other counties.

The portfolio comprises a productive area of approx. 469 ha (1,160 ac). The remaining 91.22 ha (225.40 ac) is attributable to open space, setbacks, biodiversity, and unplanted land.

The primary species planted is Sitka spruce, covering 70% of the productive area. Norway spruce complements this, representing 11% of the area. The remainder of the portfolio consists of a diverse mix of broadleaf and conifer species, including Japanese Larch, Douglas Fir, Lodgepole Pine, and Scots Pine, with trees at various stages of maturity.

Offers are sought in excess of €10 million for the entire portfolio.

Thomas Byrne of Lisney, who is handling the sale, commented:

Having successfully managed and agreed the sale of a significant forestry portfolio earlier this year, I anticipate that this offering will attract a wide range of investors from both Ireland and internationally. The combination of stable returns, ESG alignment, and the backing of progressive government policies makes this portfolio a compelling addition to any investment strategy.
