The Role
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Graduate Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team. This role will provide an opportunity to progress your career in a supportive, career enhancing environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assisting generally with all aspects of work to include the leasing, selling and acquisition of properties
- Assisting with the sale of properties, working towards office targets
- Showing potential purchasers and tenants over properties and answering queries that arise.
- Preparing marketing material and liaising with the relevant parties
- Liaising with clients and proving them with both verbal and written feedback on properties.
- Attending departmental meetings and providing updates on properties that you are responsible for
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annually written reports for clients
- Liaising with potential investors and clients and assisting with the winning of new business
- Attending and participating in all meetings
- Assisting generally with valuations, rent reviews and other professional services offered by the company
- Demonstrating excellent knowledge of all services generally offered by the company
- Assisting with inspections and surveys including measurement and calculation of floor areas and preparation of draft reports
- Assist with the production of the annual rental indices
- Responsible within the department for the upkeep and recording of inhouse comparable transactions and current availability
- Inputting all new instructions, comparable evidence from other agents and newspapers
- Undertake Red Book valuations and portfolio valuations for secured lending / financial reporting purposes
- Prepare valuation reports within a wide geographic range
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest professional standard in the context of the applicable external and internal requirements
- Experience in the valuation of all types of commercial property & land
- Experience in Landlord & Tenant matters and rent reviews / lease renewals

Qualifications & experience
- Educated to degree level
- 1 to 3 years post qualification experience in a commercial real estate practice
- PSRA Licence Holder
- Proven experience with rent reviews and lease renewal negotiations
- Proven experience of undertaking Red Book compliant valuations and reports
- Full clean driving licence
- Trained in Argus Enterprise is desirable
Soft skills & Technical skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and integrate effectively at all levels both internal and external
- Be enthusiastic, driven and professional in your approach to work
- Possess strong technical skills and be proficient in the use of the Microsoft package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Argus Enterprise
- Strong, proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly pro-active with ability to work on your own initiative
