The opportunity:

The Risk & Compliance Officer supports Lisney’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) framework by ensuring the business meets all regulatory, statutory, and internal policy requirements. The role is responsible for compliance monitoring, data protection oversight, risk management activities, and coordination of internal and external audit processes.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Governance, Risk & Internal Control. Maintain and update Lisney’s Risk Register; conduct quarterly internal audits; support governance reviews; assist divisions in identifying and categorising risks.
  • Data Protection & GDPR Compliance. Review and complete DPAs and DPIAs; perform DPIAs on new systems; manage and report data breaches; the organisation Data Protection Officer.
  • Regulatory & AML Compliance. Update AML-related policies; manage Directors’ AML Tracker; support PSRA audits and CPD compliance; ensure regulatory adherence.
  • ISO & External Audit Coordination. Coordinate ISO external audits; organise documentation; liaise with auditors.
  • Policies, Procedures & SharePoint Management. Develop and maintain compliance policies; manage SharePoint compliance documentation; support Code of Conduct alignment.
  • Compliance Administration. Manage Compliance inbox; oversee off‑site storage; maintain Compliance policies.
  • Business Continuity & Incident Management. Support business continuity planning; ensure incident escalation processes are followed.
  • Additional Compliance Areas. SARS Reporting, Data Breach Management, Supply Chain Management Compliance, ESG Compliance, Staff Training Delivery and Tracking, Due Diligence & PEP Screening, Complaints Handling, Breach & Incident Reporting, Preparation of Board Minutes and Board Packs, Monthly Compliance Reports to the Board, Preventative Measure Reporting.

We’re looking for someone who brings the following strengths to the role:

  • Essential: Compliance or risk experience, GDPR/AML knowledge, analytical skills.
  • Desirable: GDPR certification or experience, regulatory audit experience.
