Donaghmede site for €4.5m
18th June 2015
Lisney has been instructed by The Missionary Society of St. Columban to offer for sale their Donaghmede property, which is surplus to their requirements. The lands, which are level and mature, extend to approx 1.3ha (3.21 acres) and are located on The Hole in The Wall Road in Donaghmede approx. 9km from Dublin City Centre and 7km from Howth close to the area known as the “North Fringe”. This is a fast expanding north city suburb, which saw very strong development patterns in recent years.
The nearby Priory Hall development is currently undergoing full refurbishment by Dublin City Council and is expected to be completed soon. The closer neighbouring Grattan Hall development is a most attractive and popular residential scheme.
The buildings on site were extended by the present owners in the 1980 and may offer short-term uses and income while a purchaser applies for a grant of planning permission. The Dublin housing market is underpinned by steadily improving economic fundamentals, positive sentiment and a shortage of new housing in the greater Dublin area.
The guide price is €4.5 million open to offers and Lisney expect the site to have wide appeal to a range of purchasers. Given the residential zoning the uses available include houses and apartments, religious and educational uses, nursing homes and student accommodation.
