David Byrne

David Byrne is Managing Director of Lisney Sotheby’s International Realty, where he leads the residential division and continues to oversee its strategic growth and market leadership.

David has served as Managing Director of Lisney from 2020 to 2026, during which time he oversaw the strategic management, growth and organisation of the wider business. He has led Lisney Residential Sales since 2014, where his invaluable market knowledge has ensured the continued growth of the division.

David is an expert in premium home sales with over twenty years of experience in selling high-profile properties in both Dublin and London. In addition to spending time with the highly-regarded London estate agency Marsh & Parsons, David has worked across Dublin in the Lisney Howth Road, Terenure and Leeson Street branches. David was made divisional director of Residential Sales in 2011 and was appointed a director in 2014.

David has been involved in a number of high-profile sales in South City Dublin and has particular expertise in Dublin 4 and Dublin 6, where he both advises and acts for clients in the acquisition of both residential homes and residential investment properties. David regularly advises on the valuation of individual and multi-unit residential developments for lending institutions and NAMA.

David holds a BA in Psychology from University College Dublin and a BSc in Property Studies from Technological University Dublin (formerly Dublin Institute of Technology). He is an associate member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
