Winthrop Arcade Deals
12th November 2015
Lisney has confirmed three new lettings in Winthrop Arcade.
One of the oldest shopping malls in the country, Winthrop Arcade which has been trading in Cork since 1926, was purchased by a private investor in a Receivership sale back in early 2015 via agents Lisney. Existing occupiers in the Arcade at the time of the sale included ladies’ boutique Monreal and men’s boutique Salingers Bespoke and the new owner planned to create a very specialist retail destination to benefit from the Arcade’s excellent location on the pedestrian street of Winthrop Street and recently announced Ireland & UK’s best street Oliver Plunkett Street. The landlord completed some refurbishment works to return the Arcade to its former glory and these along with the continued improvement in the retail market have contributed to the recent confirmation of 100% occupancy.
