Rosslare Strand train station is within walking distance and links Rosslare to Dublin (current weekday services from 5:40am with a last return 5:33pm). Rosslare Europort and Harbour is a 10-minute drive with passenger ferry services to Britain, France and Spain. Wexford harbour town is a 15-minute drive. Dublin city centre and Dublin international airport are each a 1-hour 45 minutes’ drive. Waterford airport is a 1-hour drive.

Whilst rustic Sandymount has an evocative charm and the vistas are remarkable, sunrises immediately in front and backlit dusks sparking moonlight on the sea. Golfers, sea and sailing enthusiasts and holiday makers are well catered for in the area. Rosslare links course is a 5-minute drive. Rosslare Harbour is a stop on the Round Ireland Yacht Race route. Dinghy sailing, surfing and windsurfing are enjoyed locally. The Rosslare Strand Loop is an acclaimed walking route and there are other trails nearby.
