David Ashmore

Director, Country Homes and Estates

David is a Director and leads our specialist Country Homes and Estates team focused on the sale of select provincial homes across Ireland.  Representing the Sotheby’s International Realty brand in Ireland since 2016, David has a revered reputation and market leading track record in the sale and acquisition of Irish castles, country homes and estates.  Notably handling the prestige Luggala, Abbey Leix and Knockdrin Castle country estate and castle sales in recent years alongside many others, including Abbeville and Humewood Castle, since starting his career in 1999.

David handles a wide array of boutique homes ranging from large and impressive historic country homes and castle estates, spectacular coastal retreats and bijou waterfront cottages to equestrian havens and mountainside lodges.  Leveraging a global network of Sotheby’s International Realty specialist agents and a formal association with Sotheby’s auction house to attract buyers and secure market leading prices.

David has a Master’s in Historic Houses from Maynooth University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Property and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.  He is a keen equestrian and currently sits on the board of Punchestown Racecourse.  Memberships include the Irish Georgian Society and Royal Dublin Society.  David lives in county Kildare with his American wife and young family.
