Carrickmines is a suburb of Dublin in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, an area still considered semi-rural with plenty of space for families looking to buy a house. The neighbourhood is popular due to its wide array of amenities, new development in the area and excellent transport links to Dublin city.

In terms of recreation, Carrickmines is well served. The Carrickmines Golf Club, with views over Dublin Bay, West Wood Club Leopardstown and the Carrickmines Equestrian Centre all cater to active residents in the area.
